Second rocket fired Friday from Gaza found in Sderot preschool

The Israel Police located Saturday another rocket that fell near a kindergarten in Sderot on Friday.

The bomb-squad was called to the scene to retrieve the rocket.

“A rocket fired yesterday from the Gaza Strip at the city of Sderot, southern Israel, landed on and damaged a kindergarten. This is yet another attempt to harm innocent Israeli civilians” the IDF spokesperson said on Twitter.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu left on an official visit to Paris and Brussels on Saturday night, vowing not to accept “double standard” from Europe on US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Rockets were fired from Gaza on Friday evening. First code red alarm was heard at 6:11 pm with alerts triggered in Sha’ar HaNegev, Sdot Negev, Hof Ashkelon, Eshkol Regional Councils and Sderot.

The second alarm, triggered at 7:07 pm, sounded in the Sdot Negev and Bnei Shimon Regional Councils.

The third red code sounded in the city of Sderot and the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council.  A vehicle was damaged after a rocket launched from Gaza hit on a main street in Sderot, sending one Israeli resident into shock.

The Israel Air Force (IAF) on Friday night attacked terrorist targets in Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.

According to the statement, the targets were a training compound and a weapons depot, both belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization.

“The Hamas terrorist organization is solely responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip,” the statement stressed.
