North Korea has fired a ballistic missile, Yonhap news agency reported, citing South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.
“North Korea launched an unidentified ballistic missile eastward from the vicinity of Pyongsong, South Pyongan Province, at dawn today,” the Joint Chiefs of Staff said, adding that South Korea and the US were analysing the missile’s trajectory.
There was no information immediately available on where the projectile landed.
A US government source has confirmed the North Korean missile launch to Reuters without providing any further details.
