Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu opened the weekly cabinet meeting this morning, with reference to the threats of terrorist organizations in Gaza.
“There are those who amuse themselves with attempts to attack Israel. We will deal harshly with anyone who tries to attack us, in any region. I mean every cause and every person,” Netanyahu declared.
“We see Hamas responsible for every attack emanating from the Gaza Strip against us,” the Prime Minister added.
But Hamas and Islamic Jihad are not the only terror organizations threatening Israel. Netanyahu has warned about the growing Iranian foothold in Syria and has embarked on a diplomatic initiative against Tehran’s seemingly increasing control over Lebanon.
On Saturday the BBC published satellite footage allegedly showing that Iran was building a permanent military base in Syria.
“We will respond with a strong hand against anyone who attacks us from any direction,” Netanyahu told the cabinet on Sunday, adding that his statement was global and was aimed at everyone including rogue organizations.
Israel’s enemies, he said, should be so quick to find amusement in attacks against it.
