Terror in the Negev: Officer murdered, Bedouin terrorist eliminated in terror attack

A police officer was killed and another injured early Wednesday morning, when a Bedouin terrorist attacked security forces securing the demolition of illegal structures in the Bedouin town of Umm Al-Hiran in southern Israel.

The murdered officer has been identified by police as 34-year old Sergeant Major Erez Levy HY”D.

The wounded officer is reportedly in moderate condition.

Violent Bedouin riots broke out Wednesday morning at the planned demolition of houses and escalated when and Islamic movement terrorist rammed into security forces with his car murdering a Police officer. The terrorist has been shot and eliminated.

Police say the terrorist responsible for the terror attack was a member of the southern branch of the Islamic Movement, and may have ties to the ISIS terror group.

Arab Joint List MK Ayman Odeh, who joined the Bedouin terrorists rioting to protest the demolition of illegal houses, suffered head injuries, most likely from a stone hurled towards police. MK Odeh: “Police attacked me”.


Supreme Court President Miriam Naor late Sunday rejected a final try by Umm-al-Hiran southern Bedouin villagers to block the state from demolishing their illegal houses, on Tuesday.
