IDF soldier wounded in Hevron, terrorist eliminated, in third terror attack today

An Israeli soldier was stabbed and lightly wounded in Hevron on Friday in the third terror attack of the day.

The Arab terrorist was shot and eliminated, according to Israeli media reports.

The soldier was taken to Shaare Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem for treatment.

Earlier, a Jordanian terrorist was shot and eliminated by Israeli security forces after attempting to carry out a knife attack against border police at Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate.

The 28-year-old terrorist, who reportedly crossed into Israel from Jordan on Thursday, was shot as he ran quickly towards border patrol officers while brandishing a knife.

Three knives were discovered during a search of the would-be-terrorist’s body.

It was not immediately clear why the terrorist was in Israel, and police were investigating whether he also held a Palestinian identification card. It is possible that he was visiting Jerusalem for the Eid al-Adha holiday, which ends on Friday.

No injuries were sustained by Israeli police officers and the Damascus Gate area was sealed off, Israeli Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.

Nearly an hour later, two Arab terrorists, a man and a woman, were shot in a car ramming attack in Kiryat Arba near Hevron.

One terrorist was eliminated and the other wounded in the terror attack. Three civilians were injured and evacuated for treatment.

Also on Friday afternoon, an Israeli driving to Ma’ale Adumim, east of Jerusalem, was lightly injured by stones and paint cans thrown at his bus.
