18 wanted terrorists arrested overnight in Judea and Samaria – Weapons seized in Hevron
BREAKING: The IDF arrested 18 Muslim terrorists overnight in Judea and Samaria, who were wanted for involvement in terrorism and violent disorders directed against civilians and security personnel.
The terrorists were turned over to security agencies for further investigation.
As part of an ongoing campaign against illegal weapons, the IDF and Border Police stopped a suspicious vehicle attempting to evade a roadblock in the Hevron area.
The vehicle was stopped after a chase. An M-16 rifle, two local-made pistols and large amounts of ammunition were found.
The driver was arrested and transferred for further investigation. A second terrorist fled the scene by foot.
Over the last days, several weapons and ammunition have been seized in the Hevron area.
During a counter-terrorism operation in the village of Abu-Dis near Jerusalem, a grenade was thrown at Israeli forces. No injuries reported.
An explosive device thrown by Muslim terrorists exploded outside the Beit HaMoshal Border Police base in Abu Dis on Monday evening.
The bomb exploded outside the base, causing no damage or casualties.
A day later, Border Police forces discovered three pipe bombs outside the Beit HaMoshal base.
